Jeremy Richter is in his first year as assistant coach for the UW-Stevens Point baseball team.
The Rosholt, Wis., native played two seasons with the Pointers and was named WIAC Position Player of the Year, first team All-WIAC and All-Midwest Region in 2009. He was also named All-WIAC First Team and All-Midwest Region Second Team in 2010.
Richter appeared in 99 games, making 98 starts, and batted .353 including .372 in 2010. He also tallied 98 RBI, 97 runs, 26 doubles and 20 home runs in his career. Richter’s 56 RBI in 2010 and 17 doubles in 2009 each rank fifth, respectively, in school history.
Richter lives in Rosholt and works for Asplundh. He also plays professionally for the Rockford River Hawks of the Frontier League.
