RIVER FALLS, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's golf team shaved 13 strokes off their first round score to lock in third place at the Falcon Invite. Freshman Maddi Fletcher (Viroqua, Wis./Viroqua) is tied for third after knocking a stroke off her first-round score.

Top UWSP Individual: Fletcher posted a -1 on the front nine with her only birdie of the day en route to a tied for third in the tournament.
Notables: Martina Hudaj (Muskego, Wis./Muskego) and Gabi Petersen (Farmington, Minn./Rosemount) had two birdies apiece on Sunday. Hudaj tied for 10th.
 
Tournament Highlights
Top Team: UW-Stout won the event by 19 shots over UW-La Crosse.
Top Individual: UW-Stout's Julia Imai went on to win the individual title by six strokes over teammate Brin Neumann.
Up next: The Pointers head to Iowa on Saturday (Sept. 12) for the Wartburg Fall Invitational. The tournaments starts at 9:00 a.m.
