Box Score 1 SUPERIOR, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's tennis team began the 2026-27 season with a 6-1 win over Superior. In the second match of the day, UWSP dropped a 5-2 decision to Minnesota-Duluth.
 
The Pointers won the doubles team point against UWS. Chloe Regal (Stewartville, Minn./Stewartville) and Annie Wierzbicki (Mukwonago, Wis./Mukwonago) got a convincing 6-0 win at No. 1 doubles. Georgia Haddorff (West Bend, Wis./West) and Morgan Milan (Greenfield, Wis./Whitnall) clinched to point with a 6-4 win at No. 3 doubles.
 
In singles play, Wierzbicki and Milan each got a win by super-breaker. Wierzbicki took No. 2 singles by a 6-4, 4-6, 1-0 (5) score. Milan won at No. 6 singles rallying with a tiebreak win before the super-breaker, 2-6, 7-6 (5), 1-0 (4).
 
Regal got the win at No. 1 singles, 6-4, 6-1. Allie Brosteau (Suamico, Wis./Bay Port) won at No. 4 singles, 6-4, 6-4. Haddorff took No. 5 singles by a 6-3, 6-0 final.
 
Against UMD, Regal battled to a win at No. 1 singles playing a tiebreak and winning in by super-breaker, 6-7 (4), 6-4, 1-0 (6). Wierzbicki won at No. 2 singles, 6-1, 7-5.
 
The Pointers host UW-Stout in the home opener on Friday (Sept. 18). First serve is slated for 4:00 p.m.
