KENOSHA, Wis.- The UW-Stevens Point women's lacrosse team's (5-1) historic 5-0 unbeaten streak ended Wednesday evening. The Pointers fell, 19-3, to a strong offensive run by Carthage College (8-1).

Carthage controlled the first half, netting six goals in the first quarter and four in the second quarter. Muller found the back of the net at 10:32 of the second quarter to break the Pointers' scoring halt.
Barrie Bahr (Grand Rapids, Minn./Grand Rapids) found
Kaelyn Deutsch (Green Bay, Wis./De Pere) at 3:04 to close out the half.

The Firebirds tacked on four additional goals in the third quarter and two in the fourth quarter.
Addison Novack (Cedarburg, Wis./Cedarburg) netted the Pointers' final goal at 7:02 in the fourth quarter, unassisted.

The Pointers secured 10 draw controls in the battle,
Elysia Pitts (Green Bay, Wis./Bay Port) and
Marissa Van Dyke (Green Bay, Wis./Green Bay Southwest) with three, Novack with two and
Stella Welhouse (Kimberly, Wis./Kimberly) and
Rowan Dunn (Janesville, Wis./Joseph A. Craig) each secured one.

Emily Griege (Chesterfield, Mo./Westminster Christian Academy) was in goal, making 14 saves in 60 minutes of play.
