DE PERE, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point men's hockey team (4-8-1) fell at No. 3 St. Norbert (10-4-1) by a 3-2 final on Saturday night.
The teams skated to a scoreless tie until the Green Knights broke through with a power-play goal at 14:38 of the second period. SNC added two more goals in short order and UWSP faced a 3-0 deficit heading to the third period.
Alec Hamady (Bloomfield Hills, Mich.) got the Pointers on the board at 9:56 of the third period with his third goal of the year.
Owen Dean (Calgary, Alberta) and
Bennett Koupal (Sioux Falls, S.D.) picked up assists. It was the third-straight game with a point for Koupal.
Nico Chmelevski (Northville, Mich.) scored a goal at 16:53 of the third period to get UWSP within one.
Quinton Hill (Coquitlam, B.C.) provided the lone assist.
UWSP could not find an equalizer late with an extra attacker over the final 1:35.

Alex Proctor (Allen, Texas) made 26 saves. SNC goaltender Hunter Garvey had 19 saves.
The Pointers travel to Minnesota on Friday (Jan. 9) to face St. Scholastica at 7:00 p.m.
