STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's soccer team (5-3-4) got a 1-0 shutout win over Saint May's (8-2-0) on Sunday.
Senior
Cass Klitzke (Reedsburg, Wis./Reedsburg Area) scored the only goal of the match, recording the game-winner in the 15th minute on Senior Day. It was the fifth-consecutive match with a goal for Klitzke.
Piper Hanley (Farmington, Minn./Farmington) had the assist on the goal.
Freshman
Ainsley Katte (Cedarburg, Wis./Cedarburg) made her UWSP debut and made three saves in a shutout win.
Kayce Wadas (Elk Grove Village, Ill./Elk Grove) had two shots on goal with Klitzke,
Christa Borchardt (New Berlin, Wis./West),
Nora Lee (Holmen, Wis./Holmen) and Hanley adding one each.
The Pointers are home to begin conference play on Saturday (Oct. 4) at 1:00 p.m. against UW-La Crosse.
