RIVER FALLS, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's tennis team won its second league match of the weekend with a 7-0 victory at UW-River Falls on Sunday.
The Pointers swept the double matches to take the double team point.
Tristin Jantz (Salem, Wis./Westosha Central) and
Ellie Aitken (Sterling, Ill./Sterling) and
Georgia Haddorff (West Bend, Wis./West) and
Brooklynn Steier (West De Pere, Wis./West De Pere) at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles, both won, 6-4.
Chloe Regal (Stewartville, Minn./Stewartville) and
Annie Wierzbicki (Mukwonago, Wis./Mukwonago) got a 6-3 win at No. 2 doubles.
Regal and Wierzbicki cruised to singles wins at No. 1 and No. 3, by identical 6-0. 6-0 finals. Aitken, Steier and
Allie Brosteau (Suamico, Wis./Bay Port) got wins at No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6 singles with set scores of 6-4 and 6-2.
Jantz got the win at No. 2 singles, 6-3, 6-4.
UWSP travels to Minnesota for the ITAs beginning on Friday (Sept. 19).
