STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's soccer team (2-3-2) erased a single-goal deficit twice to earn a 2-2 draw with Lawrence (2-2-3) on Sunday.
The Vikings got on the board first in the sixth minute of play.
The Pointers responded in the 14th minute.
Kayce Wadas (Elk Grove Village, Ill./Elk Grove) tallied her first of the season with
Nora Lee (Holmen, Wis./Holmen) and
Grace Peters (Kimberly, Wis./Kimberly) providing assists on the play.
Lawrence regained the lead in the 35th minute and held a 2-1 lead at the break.
Late in the second half, the Pointers earned a free kick just outside the box.
Paige Ostroushko (Prior Lake, Minn./Shattuck St. Mary's) ripped the free kick into the net at the far post to even the match in the 79th minute.
Shea Lucas (Evanston, Ill./Evanston Township) played the first 45 minutes.
Erika Panella (Waukesha, Wis./Kettle Moraine) played the second half and made one save.
The Pointers travel to Dubuque to take on the Spartans on Tuesday (Sept. 16) at 5:00 p.m.
