GLOUCESTER, Mass. – The UW-Stevens Point men's and women's hockey programs combined for 17 recipients named to the Krampade All-America Scholars, the American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) announced recently.

The UWSP women's team had nine players earn honors. Those players were
Natalie Ahern (Byron, Minn./Byron),
Maddie Andrle (Blaine, Minn./Blaine),
Skyler Arneson (Inver Grove Heights, Minn./Simley),
Anne Beck (Grandville, Mich./Grandville),
Avery Engbrecht (Winona, Minn./Winona),
Emily Griege (Chesterfield, Mo./Westminster Christian Academy),
Amanda Pouchnik (Viola, Idaho/Moscow), Claire Riesenberg and
Grace Torma (Centerville, Minn./Centennial).
The men's team had eight recipients. Those awarded were
Nico Chmelevski (Northville, Mich.),
Gino Colangelo (Newmarket, Ont.),
Owen Dean (Calgary, Alberta),
Michael Eftimovski (Toronto, Ont.),
Quinton Hill (Coquitlam, B.C.), Joe Manning,
Blake Norris (Warroad, Minn.) and
Andrew Poulias (Whitby, Ont.).
To qualify, a student-athlete must have attained a 3.75 GPA for each semester, and had to appear in 40% of the team's games. Exceptions were granted to injured players and back-up goaltenders. Schools also were required to be members of the AHCA.
