LA CROSSE, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point men's wrestling team dropped a 43-3 dual at UW-La Crosse on Friday night in league action.
 
Blaze Thurber (Nekoosa, Wis./Nekoosa) gave the Pointers a 3-0 lead after winning a 10-5 decision at 125.
 
The lead quickly disappeared as Aidan Fonder fell in a 10-1 major decision. Dylan Cariveau (St. Paul, Minn./Roseville Area) dropped an 18-1 tech fall at 157. Bryce Buchanan (Onalaska, Wis./Onalaska) came up short by an identical 18-1 tech fall.
 
Easton Hull (Waupun, Wis./Waupun) dropped a 10-2 major decision at 184. Blake Flach (Shell Lake, Wis./Shell Lake) lost a 23-6 tech fall at 285.
 
The Pointers are next in action at the WIAC Championships hosted by UW-Whitewater on Feb. 15 beginning at 11:00 a.m.
