STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's hockey team (3-1-0) got its first home win, 3-1, over St. Catherine (3-1-0) on Saturday.
After a scoreless first period,
Skyler Arneson (Inver Grove Heights, Minn./Simley) broke the tie with her first of the season at the 11:19 mark of the second period.
Alyssa Yokom (Hermantown, Minn./Hermantown) picked up her second assist of the weekend on the goal.
Molly Pohlkamp (Baxter, Minn./Brainerd) scored on the power play at 13:12 of the second to push the lead to 2-0.
Gianna Neist (Prior Lake, Minn./Prior Lake) had an assist, her first career point.
Pohlkamp tallied again on the power play at 18:19 of the second. Her unassisted goal gave UWSP a 3-0 lead.
The Wildcats got on the board at 18:50 of the second period to make it 3-1.

Anne Beck (Grandville, Mich./Grandville) had 46 saves to earn the win. SCU goaltender Addie Oettinger had 20 saves.
The Pointers travel to Beloit for a non-conference game on Tuesday (Nov. 11). Puck drop is set for 7:10 p.m.
