MEQUON, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point men's wrestling team had 17 wrestlers in competition at the CUW Invite on Saturday.

Riese Thornberry (Germantown, Wis./Germantown) took second in the 149 bracket. He had four wins, two by decision and one each by sudden victory and major decision. Caleb Nobiling (Antioch, Ill./Antioch Community) had two wins by fall and Rhadei Kuck (Mequon, Wis./Homestead) won once by tech fall in the bracket.
 
Deakin Trotzer (Weston, Wis./D.C. Everest) won the consolation bracket at 141 He earned five wins on the day, two by tech fall, two by decision and the consolation final by major decision. Mason Markham (Elkhorn, Wis./Elkhorn Area) got one win by fall in the bracket.
 
Raydon Bipes (Hutchinson, Minn./Hutchinson) won the consolation bracket at 165. He had three wins by tech fall, one by decision and one by major decision. Caden Young (Clintonville, Wis./Shawano Community) was third with five wins on the day. He got two sudden victories, two decision wins and one win by fall. Mark Jeske (Wisconsin Rapids, Wis./Lincoln) earned a 4-2 decision win in the bracket.
 
Carson Trotzer (Weston, Wis./D.C. Everest) came in fifth in the 174 bracket. He had four wins, two by fall. Roush Jaeger (Charles City, Iowa/Charles City) had on win by tech fall in the bracket.
 
Luca Paladino (Oak Creek, Wis./Oak Creek) got two wins in the 125 bracket. He won by sudden victory and by fall.
 
Zak Wrobel (Sturgeon Bay, Wis./Sturgeon Bay) and Seth Gomez (Antioch, Ill./ACHS) each had one win by decision in the 184 bracket. Owen Hansen (Waupaca, Wis./Waupaca) got a win by fall in the 197 bracket.
 
UWSP returns to the mat on Dec. 4 with a dual at UW-Oshkosh at 7:00 p.m.
