DUBUQUE, Iowa – The No. 11 UW-Stevens Point men's hockey team (1-1-0) got a goal in each period for a 3-2 win over Augsburg (0-2-0) in the consolation game of the Key City Classic.
Chris Engelbert (Whitby, Ont.) scored his third goal of the weekend to give UWSP a 1-0 lead at 13:52 of the first period.
Aiden Moser (Bismark, N.D.) had an assist on the goal.
The Auggies tied the game at 1-1 with a power-play goal at 3:21 of the second period.
Cody Pisarczyk (Airdria, Alberta) scored his first collegiate goal at 6;13 of the second to put UWSP back in front, 2-1.
Blake Norris (Warroad, Minn.) and
Alex Johnson (Calgary, Alberta) registered assists; Johnson with his first career point.
Augsburg tied the game again at 8:45 of the second period to send the game to the third, tied at 2-2.
Camden Markham (Houghton, Mich.) netted his first career goal at 4:42 of the third period, the eventual game-winner. Norris notched his second assist of the game and
Quinton Hill (Coquitlam, B.C.) also added a helper.
UWSP goaltender
Alex Proctor (Allen, Texas) made 32 saves to pick up the win. Augsburg goaltender Alex Timmons had 23 saves.
The Pointers travel to Minnesota on Friday (Nov. 7) for a 7:00 p.m. game at Bethel.
