EAU CLAIRE, Wis.—The UW-Stevens Point men's and women's cross country teams competed in the Blugold Invitational, where the men finished second out of 34 teams and the women finished eighth of 36 teams.

Logan Murphy (Sheboygan Falls, Wis./Sheboygan Falls) led the way for the Pointers, finishing fifth with the time of 24:51.5.
Mateo Alvarado Venegas (Sun Prairie, Wis./Sun Prairie) finished 14
th with the time of 25:34.0.
Sean Heetland (North Aurora, Ill./West Aurora) and
Martin Kimmel (Deerfield, Wis./Deerfield) finished back-to-back with times of 25:49.8 and 25:50.9, respectively.
Faith Wehrman (New Berlin, Wis./Eisenhower) finished in second place with the time of 21:54.8, just nine seconds behind Carleton's first-place finish.
Lindsey Jossie (Pulaski, Wis./Pulaski) finished 29
th with the time of 23:20.7.
Meg McAfee (Shawnee, Kan./Mill Valley) finished 50
th with the time of 23:40.7.
The UWSP cross country teams are back on the course on October 18 for the Augustana Regional Rumble in Rock Island, Ill.
