GREEN BAY, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's tennis team earned a 6-1 win in non-conference action at St. Norbert on Saturday.
UWSP earned the team doubles point with a sweep in doubles play.
Chloe Regal (Stewartville, Minn./Stewartville) and
Annie Wierzbicki (Mukwonago, Wis./Mukwonago) at No. 1 doubles and
Tristin Jantz (Salem, Wis./Westosha Central) and
Ellie Aitken (Sterling, Ill./Sterling) at No. 2 doubles both earned 6-3 wins.
Brooklynn Steier (West De Pere, Wis./West De Pere) and
Allie Brosteau (Suamico, Wis./Bay Port) finished the sweep with a 6-1 win at No. 3 doubles.
Regal improved to 9-0 in singles play with a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 1 singles. Jantz got the win at No. 2 singles, 6-3, 7-6. At No. 3 singles, Wierzbicki won, 6-4, 6-1.
Aitken was victorious at No. 4 singles, 6-0, 6-4. Steier got a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 5 singles. Brosteau won six games at No. 6 singles.
The Pointers will finish out the fall season in Madison on Oct. 26 in a tournament against WIAC teams beginning at 11:00 a.m.
