ROCK ISLAND, Ill  – The UW-Stevens Point men's and women's cross country teams competed in the Augustana Regional Rumble, where four Pointers earned new personal-best times. The 15^th-ranked men finished 7^th of 36 teams and the women finished 27^th of 40 teams.

Logan Murphy (Sheboygan Falls, Wis./Sheboygan Falls) led the way for the men, finishing 15^th with a time of 24:46.0. Mateo Alvarado Venegas (Sun Prairie, Wis./Sun Prairie) earned a new personal-best time of 24:54.5 to finish 27^th. Malachi Kurth (Slinger, Wis./Slinger) finish 79^th with a new personal-best time of 25:44.4. Thomas Nelson (New Glarus, Wis./New Glarus) rounded out the men's personal-best finishes with a time of 25:57.6.
 
Meg McAfee (Shawnee, Kan./Mill Valley) led the way for the women, finishing 119^th with a new personal-best time of 23:36.6. Makaela Malin (Monticello, Minn./St. Michael, Albertville) finished 148^th with a time of 23:56.5. Lauren Sadowski (Marinette, Wis./Marinette) finished 170^th with a time of 24:08.9.
 
The UWSP cross country teams are back on the course on Nov. 1 at XC Ranch in Oshkosh for the WIAC Championships (presented by Culver's) at 12:00 p.m.
