MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The UW-Stevens Point men's wrestling team wrapped up action in Alabama with a 12th-place finish at the Hawk Classic Open on Saturday.

Blaze Thurber (Nekoosa, Wis./Nekoosa) placed fifth in the 133 bracket. He won four times, two by fall and twice by decision.
 
Dylan Cariveau (St. Paul, Minn./Roseville Area) finished sixth in the 157 bracket. He also earned four wins on the day, two by major decision and once each by fall and decision.
 
Bryce Buchanan (Onalaska, Wis./Onalaska) got two wins in the 174 bracket. He had a major decision victory and a win by fall.
 
Jack Callen (Portage, Wis./Portage) picked up two wins in the 184 bracket. He had one win by tech fall and another by decision. Zach Canaday (Woodsock, Ill./Woodstock) had one win by decision in the bracket.
 
Austin Gray (Tomah, Wis./Tomah) earned one win by fall in the 125 bracket. Aiden Fonder (Kimberly, Wis./Kimberly) got a win by medical forfeit at 133.
 
The Pointers return home to take on UW-Eau Claire on Jan. 16. Action begins at 7:00 p.m. in Berg Gym.
