Box Score MENOMONIE, Wis. – The No. 11 UW-Stevens Point men's hockey team (14-4-1, 6-2-1) extended its win streak to eight-straight with a 1-0 overtime win at UW-Stout (9-8-2, 2-6-1) to finish off the season series.
Neither team was able to score in regulation as UWSP goaltender
Alex Proctor (Allen, Texas) made 38 of his 41 saves through three periods. He had three more in overtime for a season-high 41 on the night.
UW-Stout goaltender Ryan Knight kept the Pointers off the board until the 3:47 mark of overtime. He had 25 saves in the game.
Andrew Poulias (Whitby, Ont.) scored the lone goal, the overtime winner for the Pointers at 3:47 of overtime.
Nico Chmelevski (Northville, Mich.) got the assist on the winner, his sixth-straight game with at least one point.
The Pointers will host UW-River Falls in a weekend series beginning on Friday (Jan. 31) at 7:00 p.m.
