STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point men's wrestling team finished seventh at the Upper Midwest Regionals

Luca Paladino (Oak Creek, Wis./Oak Creek) placed fourth in the 125 bracket. He dropped a narrow 5-4 decision in the semifinals. Then in the consolation bracket, he advanced to the third-place match with an 11-5 decision. He came up short in an 8-5 decision in the third-place match.
 
Riese Thornberry (Germantown, Wis./Germantown) took seventh in the 149 bracket. He won by fall in the first period in the seventh-place match.
 
Logan Neitzel (Lomira, Wis./Lomira) won an 8-0 major decision in the seventh-place match to earn seventh at 197.
 
Trystan Altensey (Port Byron, Ill./Riverdale) was fifth in the 184 bracket. Carson Trotzer (Weston, Wis./D.C. Everest) finished sixth in the 174 bracket. Blake Flach (Shell Lake, Wis./Shell Lake) placed eighth in the 285 bracket.
 
The Pointers season ends as only the top-three in each bracket advanced to the NCAA Championships.
