DUBUQUE, Iowa – The UW-Stevens Point men's wrestling team took eight athletes to the UD Invite on Saturday. No team scores were kept.

Mohammed Abbosov took second in the 149 bracket. He won by fall in his opening match and earned a sudden victory to advance to the title match. Emmanuel Furlow (Madison, Wis./La Follette) placed fifth in the bracket.
 
Romer Pugh (Spring Lake Park, Minn./Spring Lake Park) recorded two wins by fall to take second in the 165.
 
Blake Flach (Shell Lake, Wis./Shell Lake) placed second in the 197 bracket. He won by fall in the semifinals. Seth Gomez (Antioch, Ill./ACHS) finished fourth in the bracket with an 11-5 decision win in the consolation bracket.
 
Aiden Fonder (Kimberly, Wis./Kimberly) took third in the 125 bracket. He won twice by fall and earned a major decision victory.
 
Bryce Buchanan (Onalaska, Wis./Onalaska) placed sixth in the 174 bracket. He earned a 9-7 decision win in his opening match.
 
The Pointers will head to UW-Eau Claire on Friday (Feb. 9) for the regular season finale. The dual versus the Blugolds begins at 7:00 p.m.
