STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point men's wrestling team got a come-from-behind 36-8 win in dual action over visiting UW-Oshkosh on Friday night in Berg Gym.
 
The Pointers fell behind 8-0 after a decision loss at 125 and tech fall loss at 133.
 
Riese Thornberry (Germantown, Wis./Germantown) got UWSP on the board with a 19-6 major decision win at 141. Maddox Rye (Wausau, Wis./Wausau East) pulled the Pointers even with a 14-0 major decision victory at 149.
 
Nico Pelusi (Birnamwood, Wis./Witt-Birn) and Josh Heuss (Antigo, Wis./Antigo) got back-to-back decision wins. Pelusi won 11-8 at 157 and Heuss got a 7-4 victory at 165.
 
Carson Trotzer (Weston, Wis./D.C. Everest) and Easton Hull (Waupun, Wis./Waupun) got consecutive wins by tech fall. Trotzer was victorious at 174 by a 16-0 score. Hull won by a 19-2 score at 184.
 
Logan Nietzel pinned his opponent at 197 as did Blake Flach (Shell Lake, Wis./Shell Lake) at 285 to seal the win.
 
The Pointers head to UW-Platteville on Wednesday (Dec. 11) for a 7:00 p.m. dual with the Pioneers.
