PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point men's wrestling team got its second-straight come-from-behind dual win with a 26-18 victory at UW-Platteville on Wednesday night.
Riese Thornberry (Germantown, Wis./Germantown) got the Pointers on the board with a 17-1 tech fall win at 141. His points were the only ones on the board at the midpoint of the dual as UWSP trailed 18-5.
Josh Heuss (Antigo, Wis./Antigo) began the rally with a 12-3 major decision win at 165.
Bryce Buchanan (Onalaska, Wis./Onalaska) followed that up with a 10-4 decision victory at 174.
Easton Hull (Waupun, Wis./Waupun) got the Pointers within one with a 19-2 tech fall at 184. UWSP took the lead as
Logan Neitzel (Lomira, Wis./Lomira) got a second-period pin of his opponent at 197.
Blake Flach (Shell Lake, Wis./Shell Lake) secured the win with a 3-1 decision win at 285.
The Pointers are back in action on Saturday (Dec. 14) at the Luther Duals. UWSP will face Cornell at 1:00 p.m. before taking on host Luther at 2:30 p.m.
