MADISON, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point football team had three players selected to the All-WIAC teams announced by the league office on Thursday (Nov. 21).
Miles Gallagher (Racine, Wis./William Horlick) earned second-team offense honors.
Jacob Scott (Freedom, Wis./Freedom) and
Sawyer Stuczynski (Amherst, Wis./Amherst) were honorable mention picks on offense and defense, respectively.
Caleb DeJong (Merrill, Wis./Merrill) was named to the WIAC All-Sportsmanship team.
WIAC Release
Gallagher garners his first career league selection. He played in all 10 games and had at least one reception in all 10. He led the team with 36 points, scoring a team-high six touchdowns on the season. He scored three receiving touchdowns, two rushing touchdowns and had a pick-six on defense. Gallagher led the team with 33 receptions and 549 receiving yards.
Scott earns his first career all-conference pick. He played all 10 games on the offensive line for the Pointers.
Stuczynski also gathers his first career all-league laurel. He played in all 10 games. He led the defense with 3.5 sacks and 7.5 tackles for loss. He totalled 32 tackles on the season. Stuczynski added one forced fumble, one quarterback hurry and one pass breakup.
DeJong was named to the all-sportsmanship team after playing in six games his senior season. He made 30 tackles and had 1.5 tackles for loss. DeJong made two pass breakups on the year.
