Box Score NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The No. 16 UW-Stevens Point volleyball team (3-0) rolled to a three-set sweep of Muskingum (0-3) to complete an undefeated opening weekend at the Captains Classic hosted by Christopher Newport University.
 
Ashley Kopp (Muskego, Wis./Muskego) posted her third-straight double-double to lead the Pointers. She had a team-high 11 kills and added 15 digs, tied for the team lead.
 
Olivia Paukner (Prairie Du Sac, Wis./Sauk Prairie) also had double-digit kills with 10 in the match. Freshman Lauren Shaw (Gurnee, Ill./Warren Township) tied for the team lead with 15 digs.
 
Grace Michalske (Wausau, Wis./West) had a team-best 31 assists. She also led the team with five service aces.
 
Freshman Carly Thomka (Muskego, Wis./Muskego) added four aces. Fellow freshman Ryleigh Zeller (Muskego, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) had 13 digs and added three aces. Summer Salettel (Beaver Dam, Wis./Beaver Dam) led UWSP with three blocks.
 
The Pointers continue the season-opening road trip at the WIAC/MWC Quad in Plymouth on Wednesday (Sept. 6). UWSP will play host Lakeland at 5:30 p.m. and St. Norbert at 7:30 p.m.
