TEMPE, Ariz. – The UW-Stevens Point women's tennis team was bestowed All-Academic Team honors by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA), the organization announced Wednesday (July 12). Additionally, 11 women and five members of the men's team picked up Scholar-Athlete recognition.

The UWSP women's team was one of 160 Division III programs recognized by ITA. To be named an ITA All-Academic Team, programs must have a team grade point average of 3.2 or above (on a 4.00 scale), student-athletes included should be listed on the institutional eligibility form, and varsity letter winners should be factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year.
In 2023, 1,204 DIII women and 1,012 DIII men were named ITA Scholar-Athletes. Individual student-athletes must have had a grade point average of at least 3.5 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year.
