WHITEWATER, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's tennis team finished fourth at the WIAC Team Tournament held Saturday. UWSP fell to UW-Eau Claire, 5-1, in the semifinals and, 5-0, to UW-La Crosse in the consolation.

Barbara Covek (Barrington, Ill./Barrington) and
Jenna Koepp (Watertown, Wis./Watertown) won their No. 2 doubles match against UWEC, 8-2. Covek notched her 79th overall win at UWSP, the most of any player in program history.
The finals scores were not indicative to how competitive UWSP played on Saturday. Against UWEC,
Quinlyn Mack (Prairie Du Sac, Wis./Sauk Prairie) was ahead of her No. 1 singles match 7-5, 2-2 when the match was decided.
Faith Leithold (Onalaska, Wis./Onalaska) also was in front at No. 3 singles, 6-4, 3-2.
Chloe Leithold (Onalaska, Wis./Onalaska) was headed to a super breaker at No. 5 singles, 6-3, 4-6.
Faith Leithold (Onalaska, Wis./Onalaska) also held the advantage against UWL was the match was decided. She had won the first set, 6-3, at No. 3 singles. Covek was in front in the second set at No. 4 singles, 4-2.
Covek concludes her career with 35 singles wins, one shy of the school record. Her 79 overall wins are 17 more than any other player.
