ROANOKE, Va. – UW-Stevens Point sophomore wrestler
Luca Paladino (Oak Creek, Wis./Oak Creek) made a big splash to begin the day at the NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships.
Results
He opened the day facing the three-seed in the 125 bracket, James Day of Wabash College. Paladino pulled off the opening round upset with a 5-3 decision win.
In the second round, Paladino faced the six-seed, Jake Craig of Southern Maine. Paladino came up short in a 10-4 decision.
In the consolation bracket, Paladino was eliminated from the tournament with a second period fall.
Paladino ends his phenomenal sophomore campaign with a 24-8 record.
