STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point men's wrestling came up short in both duals in Quandt Fieldhouse on Saturday. The Pointers began the day with a 34-7 loss to Cornell and concluded the day with a 30-9 defeat to Luther.
 
Josh Heuss (Antigo, Wis./Antigo) got UWSP on the board in the opening dual versus Cornell. He won an 11-0 major decision at 165.
 
Trystan Altensey (Port Byron, Ill./Riverdale) won a close 5-4 decision at 184 as UWSP's only other win against Cornell. Altesnsey won again versus Luther with a 2-0 decision victory.
 
Luca Paladino (Oak Creek, Wis./Oak Creek) won a decision by an 11-4 final at 125 against Luther. Logan Neitzel (Lomira, Wis./Lomira) won at 197 against Luther by a 6-5 decision.
 
The Pointers close out the homestand against UW-Whitewater in league action on Friday (Dec. 15). The dual is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. in Berg Gym.
