ANGOLA, Ind. – The UW-Stevens Point men's wrestling team hit the road for the first time this season to compete at the Trine Invitational. No team scored were kept.

Carson Trotzer (Weston, Wis./D.C. Everest) took second with four wins in the 174 bracket. It was his second-straight week with a second-place finish. Trotzer took three matches by fall and one by tech fall.
 
Riese Thornberry placed fifth in the 149 bracket with four wins. He won two matches by fall, one by decision and one by major decision. Thornberry won the fifth-place match by fall (1:51).
 
Josh Heuss (Antigo, Wis./Antigo) placed fifth and finished with four wins in the 165 bracket. He won two matches by major decision and one by decision.
 
Blake Flach (Shell Lake, Wis./Shell Lake) placed fifth with four wins in the 197 bracket. Flach won two matches by fall and two by decision. He won the fifth-place match with a win by decision (7-0).
 
Aiden Fonder (Kimberly, Wis./Kimberly) placed sixth in the 125 bracket with two wins. He took one win by decision (8-4) and one by fall (4:47).
 
Easton Hull (Waupun, Wis./Waupun) placed sixth and ended the day with five wins in the 165 bracket. Hull won three matches by fall and two by decision.
 
Logan Neitzel (Lomira, Wis./Lomira) registered two wins in the 197 bracket, winning both by fall.  Joey Ahern finished with one win by fall (6:36) in the 157 bracket. Cody Weix (Marshfield, Wis./Marshfield) logged a win by fall (6:36) in the 174 bracket.
 
Bryce Buchanan (Onalaska, Wis./Onalaska) earned one win by major decision (12-3) in the 174 bracket. Jack Callen (Portage, Wis./Portage) earned one win by major decision (14-6) in the 184 bracket.
 
Cooper Peterson (Cannon Falls, Minn./Cannon Falls) finished with one win in the 141 bracket. His win on the day came by decision (3-2). Sam Johnson (Ettrick, Wis./Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau) wrapped up with one win by decision (4-2) in the 157 bracket. Romer Pugh (Spring Lake Park, Minn./Spring Lake Park) registered one win by decision (11-10) in the 174 bracket. Seth Gomez (Antioch, Ill./ACHS) finished with one win by decision (2-0) in the 197 bracket.
 
The Pointers will stay in state next weekend at the CUW Open in Mequon on Saturday (Nov. 18). Action begins at 9:00 a.m.
