WHEATON, Ill. – The UW-Stevens Point men's wrestling team jumped up to 19th place at the conclusion of the Pete Willson Invitational that wrapped up Saturday.

Brandon Peckham (Plainfield, Wis./Tri-County) helped the cause by placing third in the 165 bracket. He started Saturday with a 3-1 sudden victory. He then battled to a 1-0 decision win. Another 3-1 sudden victory put Peckham in the third-place match where he picked up his fourth win of the day by medical forfeit.
 
Trystan Altensey (Port Byron, Ill./Riverdale) took fifth place in the 184 bracket. He won three matches on the day starting with a first period fall. Then he won a 6-1 decision. In the fifth-place match, Altensey prevailed with a 5-2 decision win.
 
Cooper Peterson (Cannon Falls, Minn./Cannon Falls) also competed on Saturday in the 141 bracket, but lost his opening match of the day to be eliminated.
 
UWSP travels to UW-La Crosse on Friday to wrap up regular season conference action. The dual is slated to begin at 6:30 p.m.
