PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point men's wrestling team lost a conference dual at UW-Platteville on Wednesday by a 40-0 final.

Brandon Peckham (Plainfield, Wis./Tri-County) came close to getting UWSP on the board. He dropped a narrow 4-3 decision at 165.
 
Blaze Thurber (Nekoosa, Wis./Nekoosa) also fell in a decision, 4-2, at 133. Josh Heuss (Antigo, Wis./Antigo) and Blake Flach (Shell Lake, Wis./Shell Lake) also dropped decisions, 7-2 and 7-3, at 174 and 197, respectively.
 
Cooper Peterson (Cannon Falls, Minn./Cannon Falls) came up short in an 8-2 decision at 141.
 
The Pointers return to action on Jan. 14 at the Al Hanke Invitational. Action begins at 9:00 a.m. that day.
