STEVENS POINT, Wis. – Late Saturday, the UW-Stevens Point men's hockey team learned that its opponent in the NCAA Division III Ice Hockey Championship quarterfinals will be St. Norbert College. The Green Knights advanced with a 4-3 overtime win over Augsburg. UWSP and SNC will drop the puck at K.B. Willett Arena on Saturday (March 16) at 7:00 p.m.
Tickets for Saturday's game go on sale Monday (March 11) at 8:00 a.m. Advance tickets can be purchased at the University Information and Tickets Office in the Dreyfus University Center, online at
tickets.uwsp.edu, or by calling 715-346-4100.
St. Norbert has pre-purchased the ticket allotment for the visiting team and all Green Knights fans should purchase tickets from the
SNC ticket office.
All tickets for the men's hockey games will be reserved seats at $10.00 per ticket with the exception of 400 student tickets at $4.00 each for students of the competing institutions. US Bank will again provide the first 100 students through its DUC location a free ticket beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Monday. With the recent trend of sell-outs at Willett Arena, fans are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance.
Men's hockey season ticket holders will have the opportunity to renew their same seats from the regular season at $10.00 per ticket. Deadline for season ticket holders to reserve their seats from the regular season will be Wednesday, March 13, at 5:00 p.m. Any unclaimed season tickets at that point will be released for sale to the public.
Parents and family ticket holders who received comp tickets in the regular season must now pay for their seats at $10.00 per ticket and must be purchased by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday (March 13) or those seats will be sold to the public.
The Pointers and Green Knights skated to a 1-1 tie in De Pere on Nov. 17. Both goals were scored in the third period with
Ryan Bittner (Crookston, Minn.) netting the equalizer for UWSP. The winner of Saturday's game advances to the semifinals which will be on a yet-to-be-determined campus site.
