WIAC Release

Gehl earns her third-straight all-league honor en route to the player of the year nod.  She was named the WIAC Offensive Player of the Week four times this season, more than any other conference player.  Gehl leads the nation in kills this season with 573, just 10 shy of breaking her own single-season program record set last season.  On Oct. 23 at UW-La Crosse, Gehl became the all-time leader in school history in kills and has a total of 1,798, fourth-most in conference history.  An AVCA All-America second team selection in 2018, Gehl has recorded 23 double-double this year.  Three times this season, Gehl had 30 or more kills in a match, including a season-high tying 33 at UW-Whitewater on Nov. 1 when she set the conference record with 96 attacks in the match.

Adams picks up her second league award after an honorable mention nod in 2018.  She leads the conference with 1,240 assists on the season and ranks third in the country in the category.  Adams has recorded 20 double-doubles on the season.  In UWSP's win at UW-Whitewater on Nov. 1, Adams recorded a career-high 63 assists, the most by any conference player this season.  She is second on the team with 30 service aces and third with 367 digs this season.

Emme lands her first career conference laurel following an outstanding senior season.  She is second on the team with 316 kills, eighth most in the conference this season.  She recorded her first career double-double on Oct. 26 against Carroll with 15 kills and 10 digs.  This season, she had a career-high 18 kills twice and hit better than .300 in 11 different matches.

Belfiori played in 81 sets in her first season at UWSP.  She totaled 145 digs on the year with four double-figure matches, including a season-high 19 at UW-Whitewater on Nov. 1.  Belfiori added 12 assists and four service aces in her freshman campaign.

The Pointers face UW-Eau Claire in the semifinals of the WIAC Championship (presented by Culver's) tonight at 7:00 p.m. in Eau Claire.  The winner advances to Saturday's championship match.
