AVCA Release

Gehl adds yet another accolades to her lengthy UW-Stevens Point volleyball resume.  She was the AVCA Midwest Region Player of the Year and WIAC Offensive Player of the Year this season.  Gehl was an all-region selection and was named to the regional all-tournament team.

The nation's leader in kills this season with 675, Gehl is the only player in the country with more than 550 kills.  She holds the school record for career kills at 1,900, the third-highest total in WIAC history.  Her 675 kills this season are a UWSP single-season program record and the second highest total in league history.

This season, Gehl was named the WIAC Offensive Player of the Week four times.  She had 28 double-doubles on the season with 537 digs and 30 service aces.  Gehl had four different matches during the season with 30 or more kills, including Saturday's regional final versus St. Benedict.

Gehl becomes just the second UWSP player to earn first-team all-America honors (Emma Brunkhorst, 2014).  She is the third player to be named to an all-America team is consecutive years.
