STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point men's basketball team (10-5, 4-0) remained unbeaten in league play with a 70-61 win over UW-Eau Claire (8-7, 0-4) on Saturday night.

Canon O'Heron (Bangor, Wis./Bangor) scored a career-high 15 points, tied for the team lead with senior
MJ Delmore (Wisconsin Dells, Wis./Wisconsin Dells). O'Heron also tied for the team-high with six rebounds, four on the offensive glass.
Nate Dodge (East Troy, Wis./East Troy) added 10 points as he and Delmore combined for five of the 10 made three-pointers in the game.
A Delmore three got UWSP on the board in the first minute of play, but UWEC took a 10-5 lead five and a half minutes in.
Mark Nelson (Madison, Wis./Monona Grove) drilled a three on the next possession to spark a 15-0 run over the next five minute of play.
The Pointers hit five three down the stretch and led by 11 at the half. UWSP made 9-of-16 shots from three-point range in the half.
O'Heron scored eight points early in the second half as the Pointers held the double-digit lead. With 12:13 to go,
Brandon Spray (Prairie Du Sac, Wis./Sauk Prairie) drained a three, the only long-range make of the half for UWSP, to extend the lead to 22.

The Pointers travel to Whitewater on Wednesday (Jan. 17) to face the Warhawks at 7:00 p.m. UWSP returns home next Saturday (Jan. 20) against UW-Platteville.
