STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point football staff added veteran
Todd Throckmorton to its coaching staff for the 2017 season. Throckmorton will serve as the offensive line coach and recruiting coordinator for the Pointers.

Throckmorton joins the Pointers from Missouri Western State University (NCAA -Div. II) where he served as the offensive coordinator for the last four years.
His four-year span as offensive coordinator was his third coaching stint at Missouri Western. Prior to OC duties, he was the offensive line coach for four seasons.
His return to MWSU followed a three-year span at New Mexico as the tight ends coach. In 2004-05, he returned to Missouri Western to coach the offensive line following four years as the head coach at Fort Lewis College.
At Fort Lewis, seven of his 11 wins came in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) games. During his tenure at FLC, he coached 30 All-RMAC players, 14 academic All-RMAC picks and two RMAC Freshman of the Year honorees. In 2002, the Skyhawks led the nation in passing offense with an average of 373.5 passing yards per game.
In the 1990's, Throckmorton spent time at San Jose State (1997-99) following a long run at Missouri Western where he spent time coaching both the offensive and defensive side of the ball.
Throckmorton graduated from Missouri Western State University in 1987 with his Bachelor of Science in Physical Education. In 1989, he earned a Master of Arts in Physical Education from the University of South Dakota.
Throckmorton and his wife, Lea Ann, reside in Plover.
