Box Score STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point men's hockey team dropped a 3-1 decision to Marian Friday night at K.B. Willett Arena.
Marian (3-2-1) tallied a pair of first period goals in the span of 18 seconds to give the Sabres a 2-0 lead over UW-Stevens Point (5-2-0) entering the first intermission.
Brennen Miller (Keller, TX/) got the Pointers on the board just 37 seconds into the second period off assists by
Colin Raver (Bartlett, IL) and
Carter Roo (Champlin, MN) to put the Pointers within striking distance entering the final frame.
Midway through the third period, Cole McGraig tallied for Marian to put the game out of reach for UWSP. The Pointers were unable to find the back of the net while skating with an extra attacker for the final 1:52 of the game.
Senior goaltender
Max Milosek (Lapeer, MI/) made 13 saves for UWSP, while Hunter Vorva recorded 22 saves for Marian.
The Pointers return to action with a matchup against top-ranked St. Norbert tomorrow evening (Nov. 18) at K.B. Willett Arena. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
