Swimming and Diving Sweeps Home Dual from UW-Oshkosh

The UW-Stevens Point swimming and diving teams earned a pair of wins over UW-Oshkosh in a dual at the UWSP Aquatic Center on Friday.  The men won by a score of 135-65 and the women won, 134-107.   

Final Results

Riley Patton (Madison, Wis./Memorial), Jackson Aton (Berlin, Wis./Berlin), Zach Jorgenson, and Frank Peters (Naperville, Ill.) won the 400-yard medley relay.  The group timed in with 3:43.59, earning 11 points for the team.  Jorgenson won the 200-yard butterfly and the 500-yard freestyle, while Peters touched first in the 100-yard freestyle event for UWSP.

Jacob Aegerter (Cross Plains, Wis.) also earned a win for the Pointers in the 1000-yard freestyle.  Aegerter timed in with 10:17.80 to keep the scoring going. 

Ethan Bott (Whitefish Bay, Wis.) also contributed to the win.  Bott swam in the 200-yard freestyle and clocked in with a time of 1:50.62, adding a total of nine points. 

Riley Pankratz (Fond du Lac, Wis./Fond du Lac) also contributed to the scoring with a win in the 50-yard freestyle.  Pankratz clocked in with a time of 22.69. 

Michael Pritchard (Green Bay, Wis.) continued with the scoring in the 200-yard IM.  Pritchard finished the time with 2:07.36, eight seconds faster than the field.   Justin Fernandez (Chicago, Ill./Lane Tech) won the 200-yard butterfly by 13 seconds with a time of 2:05.04.

In addition to his contribution to the 400-yard medley relay, Jackson Aton (Berlin, Wis./Berlin) won the 200-yard breaststroke.  Aton clocked in with a time of 2:18.12, contributing a total of nine points to the scoring. 

Owen Gluck (West Bend, Wis./East) took first in the one- and three-meter diving event with a scores of and 261.05 and 258.20, respectively. 

In another relay win, Austin Teunissen (Bismarck, N.D./Bismarck), Ethan Bott (Whitefish Bay, Wis.), Reilly Donnellan (Neenah, Wis./Neenah), and Justin Fernandez (Chicago, Ill./Lane Tech) finished out the scoring with a win in the 400-yard freestyle with a time of 3:20.72. 

For the women, Murron Roff (Antigo, Wis./Antigo) placed first in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 11:51.87.  Ruff contributed nine points in the scoring, and improved her time by five seconds. 

Bree Parent (Mt. Horeb, Wis.) earned wins in the 200-yard IM and 200-yard breaststroke events.  Parent came in with times of 2:21.08 and 2:32.68, respectively. 

Jackie Braun (Sauk Rapids, Minn.) won the one- and three-meter diving events.  Braun earned scores of 239.05 and 325.05, respectively.   

Finishing off the scoring for the women was the 400-yard freestyle relay team of Missy Angove, Murron Roff (Antigo, Wis./Antigo), Erica Perkins (Rochester, Minn./Rochester Century High School), Kaila Dupont.  The group finished first with a time of 3:51.60. 

The Pointers remain at the Aquatic Center on Saturday (Dec. 10) for a dual against St. Olaf College.  The meet is set to begin at 2:00 p.m.
