WHITEWATER, Wis. - The UW-Stevens Point men's swimming and diving team earned 206 points and won by a margin of 113 in a victory against UW-Whitewater on Saturday. The men captured. The women collected a total of 93 points to UW-Whitewater's 200.

Senior
Sam Jekel (Fitchburg, Wis./Madison West) won both the 100-yard freestyle and 100-yard butterfly, and also contributed to two relay wins in the 400-yard medley and 400-yard freestyle. The combination of Jekel, Ethan Bolt,
Jack Englehardt (Madison, Wis./West) and
Grant Moser (St. Michael, Minn.) came together to win the 400-yard medley relay, which started the scoring for the Pointers.
Senior Sean Cloghesssy contributed nine points in both the 1- and 3-meter diving events for the Pointers with scores of 230.44 and 228.96.
Sophomore
Nate Somers (Oshkosh, Wis./West) helped in earning points with a win in the 1,000- and 500-yard freestyle. Somers improved his qualifying time by 49 seconds in the 1,000. In the 500-yard freestyle, he improved his qualifying time by six seconds.
Moser and freshman
Jacob Aegerter (Cross Plains, Wis.) finished 1-2 in the 200-yard freestyle with Aegerter touching just .03 ahead of the third-place finisher. Aegerter and Moser flipped finishes in the 200-yard butterfly as UWSP had the top four finishers.
Englehardt and sophomore
Reilly Donnellan (Neenah, Wis./Neenah) were the top two finishers in the 100-yard backstroke. Donnellan edged a Warhawks swimmer by .30 seconds. Englehardt was the first of four-straight UWSP swimmers to touch in the 50-yard freestyle.
Senior
Justin Fernandez (Chicago, Ill./Lane Tech) placed first in the 200-yard breaststroke with a victory by just .14 seconds. Fernandez also earned the win in the 400-yard IM, winning by more than three seconds.
Junior
Jackie Braun (Sauk Rapids, Minn.) took home a pair of wins in the 1- and 3-meter diving events. Braun earned a total score of 254.09 and 229.09, respectively, in each event.
Senior Katelyn Homeyer, senior
Bree Parent (Mt. Horeb, Wis.) and junior
Erin Jameson (Algonquin, Ill./Harry D. Jacobs High School) finished 1-2-3 in the 200-yard backstroke for UWSP. Freshman
Halee Fritsch (Appleton, Wis.) finished second in the 1,000-yard freestyle.
Junior
Erica Perkins (Rochester, Minn./Rochester Century High School) placed second in the 400-yard IM. She improved her finals time by eight seconds and was six seconds away from first place.
The Pointers travel to Wheaton, Ill. on a two-day tournament on December 2 and 3 for a dual against Wheaton College. The meet is set to begin at 10:00 a.m.
