CHICAGO, Ill. – North Park's Kelci Deal scored with one second remaining in regulation to give the Vikings a 2-1 win over the UW-Stevens Point women's soccer team in a non-conference match on Sunday afternoon at Holmgren Athletic Complex.

Kristen Churkey (Mosinee, WI/D.C. Everest) made a great save to deny Annika Nyquist from close range but the ball fell to Deal who slotted the ball home for her fourth goal of the season for North Park (4-5). Nyquist earned an assist after scoring with 6:48 to go in the second half to tie the game at 1-1.
After a scoreless first half,
Kayla Huber (Wausau, WI/D.C. Everest) opened the scoring for UW-Stevens Point (2-9) with her second goal of the season, as the freshman midfielder lashed the ball into the net following a corner kick at 63:03.
The Pointers outshot the Vikings 18-9 in the game and held a 6-4 edge in shots on goal.
Lexi Ahrens (Appleton, WI/Appleton East) had the two best chances of the first half but shot just wide on a breakaway 12 minutes into the game after a long ball by
Jillian Ross (Waunakee, WI/Waunakee). Ahrens later drew a good save from Meghan Ellis with 12 minutes to go until halftime.
UW-Stevens Point plays at Carroll University on Wednesday, Sept. 30 at 7 p.m. in Waukesha.
