STEVENS POINT, Wis. – Six players scored in double figures as the No. 12 UW-Stevens Point men's basketball team cruised past UW-Stout 85-44 for the team's sixth-straight win on Senior Night on Saturday night at Bennett Court at Quandt Fieldhouse.

Photo GalleryUW-Stout (3-20, 0-14 WIAC) led 10-9 a little more than five minutes in but UW-Stevens Point (20-4, 14-1 WIAC) scored 30 of the next 34 points to go up by 25. The Pointers led by at least 23 points for the final 23:25 of the game.
The win moves UWSP to 10-1 at home this season. UW-Stevens Point has won the last six meetings with UW-Stout and 25 of 28 since 2002.
Stephen Pelkofer (Hales Corner, WI/Whitnall) led the Pointers with a game-high 15 points, while
Jordan Lutz (Amherst, WI/Amherst) added 14.
Austin Ryf (Winneconne, WI/Winneconne) approached a triple-double, finishing with 11 points, nine rebounds and seven assists.
UWSP made 13 of its first 16 shots from the field and seven of its first 10 three-point attempts in the game. The Pointers shot 75.0 percent (18-of-24) in the first half, including 57.1 percent (8-for-14) from behind the arc.
After trailing 10-9, UW-Stevens Point made nine consecutive shots, six of which were from three-point range to take the 25-point lead. The 30-4 run culminated in back-to-back threes by Ryf and a Pelkofer three.
The hot shooting helped the Pointers to a 47-23 lead at the half. UWSP cooled off to 55.2 percent (16-for-29) in the second half to finish at 64.2 percent for the game. The shooting percentage was the team's highest since the team shot 68.1 percent in an 83-57 win at UW-Oshkosh on Jan. 10, a run of 10 games.
UW-Stevens Point's 12 made three-pointers are also the most by the team since the game in Oshkosh. Lutz hit four threes, while Ryf and Pelkofer made three each.
The final margin of 41 points was UWSP's largest lead of the game and the team's largest winning margin since the Pointers topped UW-Stout 101-50 on Feb. 2, 2011.
Joe Ritchay (Wisconsin Rapids, WI/Lincoln) matched Ryf's 11 points, while
Alex Richard (Spring Green, WI/River Valley) and
Sean McGann (Baraboo, WI/Baraboo) each pitched in with 10. UWSP's 19 assists in the game are the second-most for the team this season.
Jarvis Ragland had 13 points for UW-Stout, who shot 33.3 percent in both halves. The Blue Devils were 4-for-16 (25.0 percent) from behind the arc in the game and were outrebounded 33-18.
UW-Stevens Point is off on Wednesday before closing out its regular-season schedule at UW-Superior on Saturday, Feb. 21 at 3 p.m.
