ST. PETER, Minn. – The UW-Stevens Point men's swimming & diving team won all but two events to cruise past Gustavus Adolphus 225-73 on Saturday afternoon.
Results UW-Stevens Point won every event except the 100 and 200-yard breaststrokes in the meet.
The 200-yard medley relay team of
Kyle McNair (Lake Zurich, IL),
Reilly Donnellan (Neenah, WI),
Sam Jekel (Madison, WI) and
Andrew King (Palatine, IL) won the event in 1:37.63. King, Jekel, McNair and
Jack Englehardt (Madison, WI) won the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:27.32).
Individually, Jekel was the first to touch in the 100-yard backstroke (53.81) and also won the 100-yard butterfly (53.33).
King won both the 50-yard (21.60) and 100-yard freestyle (49.61) events.
Michael Mills (Fox Point, WI) won the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:22.31.
Garrett Richetto (Wausau, WI) came in first in the 200-yard freestyle (1:46.91).
Grant Moser (St. Michael, MN) picked up the win in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:06.33.
Ethan Bott (Whitefish Bay, WI) was victorious in the 200-yard backstroke (2:01.92).
Nate Somers (Oshkosh, WI) claimed the 500-yard freestyle in 4:56.72.
Joe Hollman (Geneva, IL) won the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:03.02.
Sean Cloghessy (Munster, IN) won both the one-meter (430.15) and three-meter (414.15) diving events.
The Pointers are back in action on Saturday, Nov. 14 in a home tri-dual against Northern Michigan and Minnesota State-Mankato at 1 p.m.
