STEVENS POINT – The UW-Stevens Point men's swimming and diving team collected 1,134 team points to get past UW-Eau Clare at the 2015 Point Invite on Saturday.

Photo GalleryHans Peters won three individual event titles to lead the Pointers. He won the 200-yard individual medley (2:01.73), the 200 free (1:46.04) and the 200 butterfly (2:00.62).
Kyle McNair (Lake Zurich, IL) and
Justin Fernandez (Chicago, IL) placed second and third in the 200 IM.
Justin Fernandez (Chicago, IL) took home the top spot in the 400 IM (4:23.69) after posting the fourth-best time in the prelims.
The trio of
Sam Jekel (Madison, WI),
Brandon Richardson (Minneapolis, MN) and
Kyle McNair (Lake Zurich, IL) finished 1-2-3 in the finals of the 100 butterfly.
Ethan Bott (Whitefish Bay, WI) posted the top time in the 200 backstroke, posting a time of 1:59.23, six seconds better than his prelim time. Bott also took the title in the 100 backstroke (53.50).
Zach Ogurek and
Chris Higgins (Cedarburg, WI) finished 1-2 in the 50 free, with Ogurek posting a top time of 22.12.
Matthew Parks posted the top time in the 1650 free, finishing in 17:07.29. He also won the 500 free with a time of 4:53.11.
Sean Cloghessy (Munster, IN) won both the one and three meter dives, posting a score of 407.75 in the one meter and 353.8 in the three meter.
The 200-medley relay of
Kyle McNair (Lake Zurich, IL), Zach Ogurek,
Sam Jekel (Madison, WI) and
Andrew King (Palatine, IL) posted the top time 1:37.86 followed by the relay of
Ethan Bott (Whitefish Bay, WI),
Joe Hollman (Geneva, IL),
Brandon Richardson (Minneapolis, MN) and
Chris Higgins (Cedarburg, WI), finishing in a time of 1:39.14.
Andrew King (Palatine, IL), Ogurek, McNair and
Garrett Richetto (Wausau, WI) won the 200-free relay with a time of 1:26.08, while Bott, Ogurek,
Sam Jekel (Madison, WI) and Higgins won the 400-medley relay (3:35.78).
The Pointers take on WIAC opponents UW-La Crosse and UW-Oshkosh this Friday and Saturday, Jan. 30-31 in La Crosse. Diving will take place at 6 p.m. on Friday, followed by swimming the next afternoon at 1 p.m.
