BROWN DEER, Wis. - UW-Stevens Point secured its 15th consecutive title following the conclusion of three days of competition at the 2014 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Men's Swimming & Diving Championship at Walter Schroeder Aquatic Center on Feb. 22.

The Pointers earned the 18th first-place plaque in program history with 863 points, surpassing UW-La Crosse's second-place total of 765.50 points. UW-Whitewater placed third with 702.50 points, UW-Eau Claire fourth with 526, UW-Oshkosh fifth with 192 and UW-River Falls sixth with 191.
UWSP head coach
Al Boelk was selected as the WIAC's Men's Coach of the Year. This is the 10th coach of the year award for Boelk, who is in his 16th season at UWSP.
Day three champions for the Pointers included
Sam Jekel (Madison, WI/) in the 100 free (46.16),
Evan Catani (St. Louis, MO/) in the 1,640 free (16:05.58) and the 400 free relay team of Hans Peters, Jekel,
Kyle McNair (Lake Zurich, IL/) and
Luuk Dekkers (Ames,IA/) (3:03.91).
Overall, the Pointers secured seven conference titles in 2014, four individual and three relays. Jekel won two as an individual (50 and 100 freestyle) and was a member of all three relay teams.
