WHEATON, Ill. – The UW-Stevens Point men's swimming & diving team placed second of five teams at the Wheaton Invitational on Friday and Saturday.

Team Results UW-Stevens Point finished with a total of 640 points, 6.5 ahead of third-place UW-Whitewater. Washington University – St. Louis won the meet with 1,135.5 points.
The Pointers were led by three individual runner-up finishes. Zach Ogurek was second in the 100-yard breaststroke (57.62) and
Sam Jekel (Madison, WI) was second in the 100-freestyle (46.04) and 100-yard butterfly (50.02).
UWSP also had two second-place relays. The 200-yard freestyle relay team of Hans Peters, Jekel,
Kyle McNair (Lake Zurich, IL) and Ogurek took second (1:23.84), as did the 400-yard freestyle relay of
Andrew King (Palatine, IL), Jekel, McNair and Ogurek (3:05.99).
Ogurek also placed third in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:07.60), while
Joe Hollman (Geneva, IL) took third in the 200-yard individual medley (1:56.28).
Ethan Bott (Whitefish Bay, WI), Ogurek, Jekel and Peters swam to a third-place finish in the 400-yard medley relay (3:28.77).
Bott came in fourth in the 200-yard backstroke (1:54.63), while King was fourth in the 50-yard freestyle (21.39).
UW-Stevens Point faces UW-Whitewater in a Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) dual meet on Saturday, Dec. 13 in Whitewater at 3 p.m.
