BROWN DEER, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point men's swimming and diving team took home its 14th straight first-place finish concluding the three-day 2013 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships at Walter Schroeder Aquatic Center.

2013 Championship Results
The Pointers earned the 17th conference title in program history tallying 779 points while UW-La Crosse came up short, totaling 769 points. The 10-point margin of victory is the closest in conference history since 1983 when UW-Eau Claire beat UW-Stevens Point 550-544.
The UWSP women placed second with 644 points, coming short to UW-La Crosse with 833.5 points.
On day three,
Joey Clapp (Faribault, MN/) took home another league title, in the 100 freestyle, posting a time of 45.24.
Ryan Farmer (Naperville, IL/) and
Eric Emerson (River Falls, WI/) finished second and third in the 100 free with times of 45.78 and 46.28, respectively.
The women's 400-yard freestyle relay of
Ashley Majewski (Elm Grove, WI/Catholic Memorial),
Alexa Pronga (Wisconsin Rapids, WI/),
Colleen Baker (Rosemont, MN/) and
Andrea Wagner (Apple Valley, MN/) placed second, posting a time of 3:31.19.
The men's 400-yard freestyle relay of
Eric Emerson (River Falls, WI/),
Ryan Farmer (Naperville, IL/), Joseph Gendron and
Joey Clapp (Faribault, MN/) took home the conference title with a time of 3:01.49.
The Pointers who reached qualifying marks head to the NCAA Championships March 20-23 in Shenandoah, Texas. A full list of qualifiers will be announced at a later date.
