Jones tallied six total tackles, two interceptions and a pass breakup as 19th-ranked UW-Stevens Point defeated UW-La Crosse 24-17 on Saturday. The sophomore got the Pointers off to a fast start by intercepting a pass in Eagles’ territory at the 11:22 mark of the first quarter. His second interception came with 1:03 left in the opening half, setting up a UWSP field goal. Jones is tied for the WIAC lead with five interceptions this season.
