Vervelde tied his career-high with four field goals to help UW-Stevens Point knock off No. 5 North Central 34-27 on Saturday. The junior connected from 28, 43, 26 and 33 yards and also made both of his extra points to account for 14 points in the win. He also averaged 59.0 yards on seven kickoffs, including two touchbacks.
