Watson pitched seven scoreless innings in relief this week for second-ranked UW-Stevens Point, as the team opened WIAC play 4-0. In game one of a doubleheader against UW-La Crosse on Sunday, Watson entered the game to start the fifth with the Pointers trailing the Eagles 3-2. He then threw six shutout innings and earned the win in a 4-3 10-inning win. Watson struck out five batters in his six innings, while yielding just three hits and one walk.
