The well-rounded play of UW-Stevens Point guard Tyler Tillema lead the Pointers to a 2-0 record this week. In a road win at Edgewood, Tillema shot 67 percent from the field (6-for-9) and a perfect 2-for-2 from the FT line. The senior from Randolph, WI also handed out six assists, grabbed three rebounds and had a steal in the game. On Saturday, Tillema finished with 29 points on an efficient 10-for-14 from the field (71 percent) and 9-for-12 from the FT line, had five assists, and five rebounds. All three of these statistical categories were game highs. On the week, Tillema averaged 21.5 points on 70 percent shooting (16-for-23), 4 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 1 steal per contest. Tillema’s 11 assists were against only 2 combined turnovers in the two games.
